James Dewitt Yancey, known to many by the alias J Dilla, is thought to be one of if not the “greatest hip-hop producer” that ever lived. To honor his life and musical legacy, I fashioned an 18 minute EP on this day. All of the tracks were tailored and crafted to be Dilla-esque. As well, all the individual drum sounds came from a J Dilla sound kit a good friend of mine forwarded to me about a year ago. My hope is that you not only enjoy the music heard, but reminisce on the life and enduring memory of a truly great musician. HAPPY DILLA MONTH EVERYONE! (^_^)
